Terms of Use

These terms apply to this website and to the member portal behind the login. Using either means you accept them. They sit alongside the club constitution and by-laws, and alongside Rotary International's own policies; where those say something different about club membership, they win.

Anyone is welcome to read it. Event details, project descriptions and meeting times are published in good faith and can change, so check with the club before travelling to something.

Portal accounts are for current members and are created by the Secretary. An account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let someone else use your login, and tell the Secretary straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Choose a password you do not use anywhere else. If you forget it, use the reset link on the sign-in page rather than asking anyone to set one for you.

The member directory exists so members can contact each other about club business. So:

• Do not copy, export or pass on other members' contact details, photographs or personal information to anyone outside the club.
• Do not use the directory for marketing, canvassing, political campaigning, or to promote a business.
• Do not repost board papers, minutes, financial records or anything marked board-only.
• Do not try to reach parts of the system you have not been given access to, or test it for weaknesses. If you notice something that looks wrong, tell the Secretary and we will be grateful.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to share. Get a person's agreement before uploading a photograph of them, and respect any member who asks not to be photographed.

Misuse can mean losing portal access, and serious misuse is a matter for the board under the club constitution.

You keep ownership of anything you upload. By putting it in the portal you allow the club to store it, display it to the members entitled to see it, and use it in the ordinary course of running and promoting the club, such as minutes, newsletters and event write-ups.

If you would rather something you contributed was not used publicly, say so and we will honour it.

The Rotary name, emblem and marks belong to Rotary International and are used under its licence. They may not be reused without permission. The club's own text, photographs and documents belong to the club or to the members who supplied them.

This is a volunteer-run club system. We aim to keep it running and accurate, and we make no promise that it will always be available or always correct. Do not rely on it as the only record of something that matters. It can be taken offline for maintenance or changed at any time.

To the extent the law allows, the club is not liable for loss arising from using this website or the portal, including data loss or the site being unavailable.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Portal access follows membership. It ends when your membership ends, and the board may suspend it earlier if these terms are broken. Your club and service records stay in the club's historical records, as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
